Première Vision 2024
For the Première Vision show, the atelier designed an installation for the Hub leather. This central scenography presents all of this year’s leathers and techniques.
Through play and the creation of a new form of inflatable, the workshop rethinks and offers a new way of interacting with the sphere.
A scenography inspired by cellular processes
The sphere, here inspired by cells, becomes a witness to simplicity and a vector of living analogy. This inflatable can be compared to a cell defined by its stretched membrane, which comes into contact with the various leathers on display. The relief it generates becomes a motif, a compositional unit that qualifies the incessant mutability of spaces and the flows that traverse them.
From the microscopic to the macrocospic, scenography is at once semantic, aesthetic and functional.
Scale and multiplication
This experience offers us visual access to the microscopic world through a leap of scale: these inflatables, atoms visible to the naked eye, choreograph the processes of proliferation and multiplication, resulting in constantly evolving cell clusters.
Multiplication generates assembly and multiplicity of possibilities
From sphere to product installation.
Leather variability
The inflatable sphere, a recognizable part of the atelier's identity, gives the leathers a rounded appearance. The latter become skin: they clothe and envelop the cells, taking on the shape of their different assemblies. In this way, the coherence of variability is transposed to the different leather materials.
Create a visible installation on the scale of the hangars.
Setting the scene
The Leather Hub, the show's central space, is invested in its three dimensions. The central spheres are fixed high up on the megastructure, acting as a centrifuge for the other cells: it is a capturing tool that sends out a signal. Radiation from the spheres determines movements, uses and spaces, and allows for fluidity in their variations.
