Paf’s unique take on every project

Conceived as a light box within which the musicians play, the cut-out structure gives the director a great deal of creative freedom, while the dynamic lighting changes the atmosphere and adapts to each artist’s sounds and vision.

Suspended from a height of 7 metres, a ceiling of light made up of around fifty LED tubes creates a performance space that stretches across the whole length of the stage.

Descriptif technique

From this platform hang ten large strips of white fabric, lined up perpendicular to the stage. Cut into simple geometric shapes at the bottom, the openings of these imposing banners create a series of corridors dedicated to the musicians and their music. Lightweight, foldable and modular, this predominantly fabric décor responds to the need for mobility and restraint. During the performances, these hanging fragments of white fabric archways magnify and diffuse each coloured variation.

The lighting gives the set its full scale, creating different moods to match the music and what is happening on the stage.

So it is light that supports the whole structure.

The result is a blank page onto which the sounds and lights are welcomed. Each member of the audience projects their own vision and intentions onto it. Playing with perspective, micro-spaces emerge, within which the story is rewritten with each pair. Bodies move and sounds radiate under a roof of light.

So it is light that supports the whole structure.

Inspired by a painting by Salvador Dali, this set responds to the constraints of an iconic concert hall and adapts to the rhythm and specific features of the different artistic performances.

So it is light that supports the whole structure.

Micro-spaces forming pairs

The stage has been divided into linear spaces, reminiscent of those found in a musical score.

Lighting and automation

Arranged like musical notes through the different arches, the musicians and artists are brought to life thanks to different lighting effects.

Evolving atmospheres as the performance unfolds.

The lighting translates the different musical moods played out on stage in a way that is almost synesthetic.
